More Than A Cosplayer

Since 2021 I have been entertaining the public as a part of Meian Maid Café, an experience best understood as a café with interactive characters (think Disneyland actors) serving you tea and cake! It is a family friendly pop-up café that operates at both stand alone events and conventions and sees a wide range of guests from young children to puzzled parents who aren’t familiar with the anime/gaming scene. We also have many visitors who are neurodivergent and may struggle with conversation and overstimulation, as a result I am very accommodating and adaptable navigating all manner of customers that might visit your business or event.

The Pirate Chef in the Flesh

The highlight and favourite amongst my collection of characters is absolutely the Pirate Chef, inspired by the incredibly popular Manga, Anime and now Netflix Live Action Adaptation, One Piece. Provided he is a suitable fit, I will always recommend him. He is incredibly recognisable and a majority of customers with anime/gaming interests will be familiar with him and eager to engage with him.

The cosplay features an entirely custom made suit from Creative Karon Tailors in Thailand (yes, really!), genuine leather dress shoes and a lace front wig in a flattering natural blonde. He is as authentic as it gets, with no expense spared in delivering a highly impressive visual customers are unlikely to see even at top anime conventions around the world. I stand at 174cm or approximately 5’9, which prevents my height from breaking the immersion.

With season 2 of the aforementioned Netflix Live Action adaptation of One Piece releasing right around the corner on March 10th, now is a great time for your patrons to meet the Pirate Chef himself!

• Your customers can expect uplifting, light conversation and a personalised photo opportunity.

• You can expect me to entertain customers, attract customers to your business/event and encourage customers to make purchases/participate in an event/any other reasonable request. 

• I do not promote myself as an individual entity or business and strictly remain “unknown”/”anonymous” while entertaining your customers. This is to ensure the focus stays solely on your business for our collaboration. However if you are keen to promote my appearance with my social media and identity, please indicate this in our communication for further discussion.

• I am happy to stay in a specific area and perform a particular task (draw in customers from outside, stay in one spot for photo opportunities, etc.) or adapt my role freely and dynamically.

• If your venue or event serves food/drinks I am able to act as “host” and may assist in taking orders to tables and conversing with customers as they wait to be served.

• I do not do any form of business cash handling under any circumstances.

Social Media

• Taking photos for your social media is encouraged, both posed and candid.

• Video content is highly encouraged, provided information presented is accurate and I am represented in a professional manner. I reserve the right to decline any requests for video content you may have if the requests do not align with my image and values.

• Upon request I am able to provide my own equipment (tripod, light bar, ring lights, light stands).

• I am able to plan, direct and edit video content for your social media at an additional cost.

• Upon request I am able to provide high quality images you may use to promote my appearance ahead of time, which may be used independently or incorporated into a poster/flyer/etc.

Safety

• I require access to a private area away from the public at all times in the unlikely situation I face sexual harassment or I am otherwise made to feel unsafe by a member of the public.

• I am not available for private invite-only events such as birthday parties or hen/stags.
